Alex Vassilio
Alex is a New York native, marketing strategist, dedicated snowboarder, and a mean movie trivia teammate. He spent four years in upstate New York at the University of Rochester studying media, political science, & international relations. While at Rochester, Alex held several leadership positions in the campus television network, URTV, including president and treasurer. More recently Alex received his MBA from Duke University - the Fuqua School of Business, in Durham North Carolina, where he was a member of the Fuqua MBA Tech Club & the Entrepreneurship Club.
For the past 9 years, Alex has worked in different divisions at Viacom, being involved in the creation of key initiatives such as "The 90s Are All That", Nick Music, and the Halo Awards to name a few. While at Viacom, Alex has also held several leadership positions in employee affinity groups such as Thursday Think, a development resource for young professionals, and EMERGE, an LGBT advocacy and alliance group.
Alex also spends time volunteering with the NYC Parks Department and the Boy Scouts of America, an organization with which he holds the rank of Eagle Scout. Alex's enthusiasm for creating memorable products led him to classes at the Product School in New York where he acquired certifications in Product Management and Data Analytics.
Alex is very passionate about technology, strategy, and telling stories. He recently relocated to Seattle and can often be found traveling, learning, or spending time with his rescue dog Eliza and fiancé Alexandra.
